Golden Spike Amateur Radio Club Home Page
Welcome to the Golden Spike Amateur Radio Club (GSARC) web site formerly known as UBET . Our club call sign is K7UB. The GSARC is one of the predominant amateur radio clubs in Northern Utah. Although the club is sponsored by
ATK many of it's
members are not employed at ATK. The majority of the club members live
in Box Elder County but many also live in Cache and Weber Counties.
Besides being a great social gathering for ham radio operators the club
provides community service, emergency training, amateur radio licensing
training and testing, advancement of the radio art through training,
enhanced radio communications within Northern Utah and international
goodwill.
There has been a change in the club leadership as a result of reduction
in force at ATK. ATK Recreation Council is the official sponsor of the club and
requires that the club President and Treasurer
be an employee of ATK. After many years of employment with ATK Bob Haynie no longer
meets this requirement. The necessary election was held at the last meeting
and Brian Chapman
will fill the remainder of Bobs term. We would all like to thank Bob for
his efforts on behalf
of the club these many years. Club meetings are normally
held the Third Thursday of every month
6:30 PM
alternating between Brigham and Tremonton. The locations are announced during
the Business net, calendar and in the newsletter.
Club Business Net: Wednesday nights at 20:00.
Emergency Training Net: Sunday nights at 19:30
